As part of our mandate to public safety, APEGNB uses a detailed and thorough review process for all applications. This initial review process can take up to 6-12 months.
We know application delays can be frustrating. APEGNB is committed to efficiency and high standards in our processes and work quality. We make every effort to process applications in a timely manner.
APEGNB fosters an environment of respect. We will ensure our communication is professional, prompt, and courteous. As part of the good character requirement of applicants, we expect the same level of professional communication from those we serve.
How long your application will take to process depends on many factors, including receiving complete and correct documents for your:
- Academics (This can be a time-consuming step. If your academic program is CEAB accredited, this step is much shorter. )
- References
- Work experience
APEGNB will not review your application until all complete documents are received.
If APEGNB contacts you for more information, or if any documents were incorrectly submitted, APEGNB will pause your application until we receive the information. It is your responsibility, as the applicant, to be sure that APEGNB receives everything required to process your application.
