Reinstatement of Licence

APEGNB is the organization that is mandated, under the Engineers and Geoscientists Professions Act, with setting the standards for admission and with regulating the practice of professional engineering and geoscience in New Brunswick.

To practice as a professional engineer and/or geoscientist in New Brunswick, an individual must be licensed by APEGNB.

Reinstatements are only required for those members who have been “struck off” or “removed” from the APEGNB Public Register. If this is applicable to you, please contact APEGNB directly at registration@apegnb.com to discuss reinstatement options.

You can also fill out the reinstatement form here.

  • Previous members or licencees who have resigned in good standing should complete the regular application process.
  • If you are changing your status from retired to active, click here for more information.
You may also be required to pay a reinstatement fee as follows:

Within year struck off:

  • Reinstatement fee 343.00 + 51.45 HST = 394.45
  • Annual dues – current year 343.00 + 51.45 HST = 394.45
    • Total 686 + 102.90 HST = $788.90

After year struck off:

  • Application fee 343.00 + 51.45 HST = 394.45
  • Reinstatement fee 343.00 + 51.45 HST = 394.45
  • Annual dues – current year 343.00 + 51.45 HST = 394.45
    • Total 1029 + 154.35 HST = $1183.35

Change of status

  • From retired to active (for current year) 257.25 + 38.59 HST = $295.84
